D'Addario XP Coated Nickel Roundwound
An ultra-fine layer of EXP Coating is bonded to the nickelplated steel outer wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. EXP coated nickel wound bass strings have a natural round wound feel and sound fresh and bright with a "new string tone" that lasts three to four times longer than traditional bass strings.

DR Bootzillas
Stainless Steel Bass Strings on a Hex core with a superior coating.
The costly stainless steel wrap wire used to manufacture Bootzillas is unique. It produces a distinct "crunchy tone". Bootzillas bass strings are coated for extra protection against damaging substances such as perspiration, dirt, humidy, and "acid hands". The stainless steel is imported from Europe and provides an edgier tone than standard domestic stainless steel.

DR DDT Drop-Down Tuning
The first thing you will notice about these strings is that they go right into tune and lock in. Players say they are "so stable it is almost eerie". Marcus Miller has personally worked with DR to develop a new and improved version of one of the best stainless round wound bass strings on the market. The effort took over a year, and the result is a "fatter, deeper, smoother" string that satisfied Macus Miller's demanding standard. Fatter tone. Deeper sound, smoother feel and response are the qualities that separate Marcus Miller "Fat-Beams" from all other ordinary bass strings. New "Fat-Beams" are also more consistent in feel along the length of the string, as well as string to string.

DR Sunbeam
